Yellow — New Poems
The puzzle was missing pieces,
Fragments that once held the promise of a perfect image.
Days slipped by,
And more pieces were lost,
Destroyed, scattered beyond reach.
Frustrated,
He decided to let it go,
Leaving the puzzle behind,
Choosing to live without it.
But one evening,
He returned,
Sat down,
And with a quiet smile,
There it was—
The completed picture,
Not in the way he’d expected,
But whole, in its own way.
When life feels fractured,
Like nothing fits or falls into place,
Step back and regroup.
I promise you,
Disregard and haste never lead to victory—
Patience always wins,
In its own time,
In its own way.
…I have lived my life on the edge of a pen, where every stroke is a
battle between who I was, who I am, and who I refuse to become.
