Clown — New Poems
One game, to my knowledge,
That I play fair, at least I can say.
I’ll be your clown in your play,
Your chameleon to your disguises.
I’ll tag along, making fools play—
Better yet, I’ll be the first person to come to mind.
Why?
I’m unusually lucky, quirky, and mysterious.
I’ll be strings in your torture chambers,
The stigma of a made-up, mediocre person,
Needing an introduction to your intervention.
The climax was the best part of my game—
But it became useless when I found out
I was right, when I had to put the clown display on.
Bitch, I won,
And you’re just wondering.
“An anti-hero’s superpower: turning everyday moments into
something meaningful.”
