…But I’m Still Gonna — New Poems

By Poe

If you know my flaws, my falls, my beauty,
Then why you runnin’ ’round just to spread the talk?
Was it sweet on your tongue, got ’em hangin’ on?
Was it fuel for the fire in your little squad?
 I mean—
We’re dancing on the edge of broken,
Spinning all my cracks in gold,
Wasn’t the best punchline the very reason
 you’re alone?
