The Hollow World — New Poems
I walk this world I hate to touch,
A barren stretch, a broken clutch,
Where love is bruised and anger’s cursed,
A place that’s nothing but its worst.
The coven’s whispers claw my skin,
A battle fought from deep within.
I’ve loved, I’ve lost, I’ve bled, I’ve cried—
But still I stand, though dead inside.
The world, it presses, suffocates,
I feel the weight of tangled fates.
I fight the tide, I sink in slow,
A prisoner in what I know.
Numb to fury, stiff with pain,
I’m drained, I drown, I break, I gain.
But what’s the cost of all this strife?
A shattered soul, a hollow life.
The battles rage, but I can’t see
A reason left to ever be.
I fight, I lose, I’m stuck, I stay—
In this cruel game, I’ve lost my way.
It’s always with the world of love,
A twisted, tainted, broken glove.
No matter how far I might run,
I’m bound by all the things I’ve done.
