Lonely Man Hours — New Poems
I started to balance out boundaries,
But they waged wars within me,
And with others.
It made me sink into my own misery,
A heart left pondering, unprotected.
I mistook the downfalls, the cries,
As proof that pain had crowned my life.
But they were just the echoes of change,
Boundaries being placed—
And I was only mad at myself.
Then, I stepped back, saw it unfold,
A story not of loss, but growth.
And in that moment, I laughed—
Because from a distance, it was clear:
I was finally learning to choose me.
