Troubled Teen — Freedom

By Poe
January 1, 2013 1 Min Read

I am a troubled teen.
I wonder if I will ever get my parents back together.
I hear my mom and dad screaming.
I see glass on the kitchen floor.
I want to see my parents happy.
I am a troubled teen.
I pretend not to listen.
I feel very nervous.
I touch something sharp.
I worry if they will ever get a divorce.
I cry when they fight.
I am a troubled teen.
I understand someone is going to leave for a while.
I say to myself, God, please help me.
I dream this fight will end.
I try to yell, but I can’t.
I hope to get my parents back together.
I am a troubled teen.
