About the Author
Vincent Poe is the pen name of Vincent Enrico Magnani, an independent poet and author born and raised in Western Massachusetts. He is twenty-nine years old. He has been writing since he was fifteen.
He grew up in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He started writing on the floor of his bedroom with a composition notebook and no audience and no plan — just the need to put what he was carrying somewhere outside of himself. He has kept every notebook since. There are forty-three of them.
Over the next fourteen years he taught himself everything. Formatting. Cover design. Distribution. Web development. He published his first collection at nineteen, loaded copies into a bag, and drove to a coffee shop in Springfield that agreed to display local work. He sold two copies. He drove home. He started the next book.
His work centers on PTSD, survival, and what it means to build something real from the inside of a difficult life. He does not write from a safe distance. He writes from inside the experience,
in the third person, because that is the only distance that has ever let him see it clearly enough to describe it.
He has published seven collections under his own imprint, Enrico Port. He was featured on Spectrum News 1 in July 2021. His website, , received nearly 30,000 requests in its first thirty days of operation with no advertising.
He writes under the pen names Poetic Vincent, Vincent Poe, and ProphetPoe.
He is based in Springfield, Massachusetts.
He is still here.
